Laboratories

At Siddhartha Central School, Pallimon, practical learning forms an integral part of education. The school provides well-equipped laboratories that enable students to move beyond theoretical concepts and experience learning through observation, experimentation, investigation and technology.

Biology Laboratory

The Biology Laboratory provides students with opportunities to explore the fascinating world of living organisms through practical activities and scientific observation.

Equipped with essential laboratory apparatus, specimens, models and learning resources, the lab supports students in understanding concepts related to plants, animals, human biology and life processes.

Students develop skills such as observation, identification, experimentation, recording and scientific analysis through hands-on activities. The laboratory encourages curiosity and helps learners appreciate the diversity and complexity of life.

Physics Laboratory

The Physics Laboratory offers students a practical environment to understand the principles and laws of physics. Through experiments and demonstrations, students explore concepts related to motion, force, energy, electricity, light, sound and other areas of physics.

The laboratory encourages students to verify theoretical principles through experimentation and develop important scientific skills such as measurement, observation, logical reasoning, data interpretation and problem-solving. It promotes an understanding of how physics connects with everyday life and modern technology.

Chemistry Laboratory

The Chemistry Laboratory provides students with a safe and structured environment to investigate the properties and behaviour of different substances. Practical activities help learners understand concepts related to chemical reactions, acids and bases, elements, compounds, mixtures and laboratory processes.

By performing experiments under proper supervision, students develop accuracy, analytical thinking and scientific temper. The laboratory also emphasises laboratory discipline, responsible handling of equipment and adherence to safety procedures.

Computer Laboratory

The Computer Laboratory provides students with a technology-enabled environment for developing digital literacy and computational skills. It supports learning in computer science, programming, digital applications, information technology and technology-integrated activities.

Students gain practical exposure to using computers for learning, problem-solving, research, presentations and creative projects. The lab also supports the school’s focus on digital learning, robotics, technology-based activities and emerging technological skills.

AI Lab

Curriculum Implementation: Executing the official CBSE Artificial Intelligence curriculum (Subject Code 417), covering essential theoretical foundations, ethics, data literacy, and advanced topics like Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.

Dual-Pillar Teaching Strategy: Conducting 2 periods per week per class, divided equally into:

Theoretical Modules: Conceptual clarity, discussion on ethical frameworks, algorithm flowcharts, and real-world AI applications.

Practical Lab Sessions: Hands-on programming in Python, dataset analysis, and project prototyping.

Skill Assessment & Guidance: Supervising practical files (minimum 15 Python programs per student), conducting viva-voce evaluations, and guiding students through Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) project portfolios.

Robotics Lab

Curriculum Implementation: Delivering a structured Robotics curriculum covering fundamental electronics, Arduino programming, sensors, actuators, robotics concepts, and real-world robotic applications.

Teaching Strategy: Conducting 1 period per week for each division, combining theoretical concepts with practical, hands-on robotics activities.

Theoretical Modules: Building conceptual knowledge through discussions on robotics fundamentals, electronic components, circuit diagrams, programming logic, flowcharts, robotic mechanisms, and real-world applications.

Practical Lab Sessions: Providing hands-on experience with Arduino, sensors, motors, motor drivers, and other robotics components through circuit building, programming, troubleshooting, and prototype development.

Skill Assessment & Guidance: Monitoring practical records and project work, assessing students through practical activities and viva-voce evaluations, and guiding learners in developing innovative robotics projects that encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Learning Through Experimentation and Technology
